In his new role, Garg will oversee sales and growth across Meta’s enterprise portfolio, including business messaging, Meta Business Agents and Muse APIs. The appointment comes as Meta expands its enterprise offerings beyond advertising, with a growing focus on business messaging and AI-powered tools for customer engagement

Garg’s mandate will involve scaling these offerings across APAC markets, positioning him at the intersection of Meta’s enterprise growth strategy and the adoption of AI-led business solutions. Meta has not disclosed specific revenue targets or market-level priorities associated with the appointment

AI & Business Messaging In Focus

As companies explore AI applications across customer service, product experiences and go-to-market strategies, Meta’s enterprise business will look to expand the reach of these tools across APAC. The region presents varied market conditions, business requirements and levels of AI adoption

Meta has not shared further details on the structure of the regional business under Garg or the commercial targets attached to his new role

A Career Spanning Microsoft And Enterprise Technology

Before joining WhatsApp, Garg spent 13 years at Microsoft, from July 2008 to June 2021, in senior roles spanning sales, strategy, business planning and channel management. His responsibilities included contributing to the expansion of Microsoft’s operations in India
