New courses and certification updates from AWS Training and Certification in December 2025

This month, we launched multiple new digital training products on AWS Skill Builder including ten new AWS Builder Labs, two new Learning Plans with Labs, and new exam prep classroom courses in support of the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02)and AWS Certified Data Engineer Associate (DEA-C01) Certification exams. New AWS Skill Builder subscription features

This month, we launched Introduction to AWS Cloud: Builder Labs Learning Plan. This fundamental level learning plan introduces key AWS services through 10 hands-on lab exercises across compute, networking, databases, storage, content delivery, serverless computing, and security. It serves as an ideal starting point for those new to AWS and can aid in preparation for AWS certifications

Introduction to AWS Cloud – AWS Builder Labs learning plan is available in 11 languages including: English, Italian, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish Latin American, Korean, Bahasa Indonesia, Spanish (Spain), Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese

AWS Certification exam preparation and updates

Certification

Beta registration is open for the newAWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional! Validate your ability to build production-ready AI solutions using foundation models, RAG architectures, and vector databases. Ideal for experienced developers ready to demonstrate their expertise in creating secure, scalable AI applications that deliver real business value. The first 5,000 participants will receive a special Early Adopter badge when they pass the exam! The beta exam is 205 minutes and consists of 85 questions. We encourage you to please visit the test day policies page for helpful information regarding testing rules, including breaks, to ensure you are prepared for this comprehensive exam. The Exam Prep Plan: AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional is now available on AWS Skill Builder. The plan references digital role-based training to refresh your AWS knowledge and skills.

Additionally, For developers seeking to fill in deeper technical gaps in knowledge, our new Advanced Generative AI Development on AWSclassroom course covers foundation model implementation, retrieval augmentation with Knowledge Bases, agentic AI development with AgentCore, and enterprise integration patterns in a hands-on, three-day format that aligns with the role’s focus on production-ready solutions.

The AWS Certified Security – Specialty exam has been updated to include a greater focus on generative AI and machine learning security.
