Magenta is expanding its digital security offering and making Internet Protection an activatable security feature for many plans

With Internet Protection, Magenta provides a network-based security service that continuously scans online activity for threats such as phishing, ransomware and malware, and alerts users when a potential security risk is detected. Suspicious or harmful connections can therefore be identified and blocked before they can cause damage. Once activated, the protection works automatically within the Magenta network. Additional features include a Website Check for suspicious links and an Identity Check to verify email addresses for potential data leaks. For additional, more comprehensive protection, including when using external Wi-Fi networks, Magenta offers Internet Protection Plus, an enhanced solution that includes an app and Safe Connection. For families, Magenta Child Protection is available as a dedicated solution, providing, after setup and in accordance with applicable privacy information, features such as age-appropriate content filters, time controls, and location and geofencing functions.

With the launch of Magenta Family, Magenta is bringing together internet, mobile services, TV and digital services in a simpler and more transparent way. Customers who combine internet and mobile services benefit from clear household advantages – and in future will also benefit more strongly from security features. The services are permanently included in the BIZ Ultimate plan, while they can be added at a discounted rate to other business plans. This helps Magenta support companies in better protecting mobile devices, data and connections against risks such as cyberattacks, malware and data loss, while reducing associated risks. The accompanying campaign, “Bask in Security,” highlights this approach: just as sunscreen protects against UV rays, security solutions help reduce digital risks in everyday business operations.
