Circeus acquiert Dondy et ajoute la plateforme de commerce WhatsApp à Shop Circle.

Circeus, une société holding spécialisée dans l'intelligence artificielle, a annoncé l'acquisition de Dondy, une plateforme de commerce conversationnel classée numéro un des applications WhatsApp sur l'App Store de Shopify. Dondy intégrera Shop Circle, la division de logiciels de commerce interactif de Circeus. Les détails financiers de la transaction n'ont pas été divulgués.

Dondy is used by more than 70,000 businesses to run marketing campaigns and automations and to drive sales and customer support through AI agents across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and website chat. The platform facilitates more than $100 million in orders annually and powers over one million customer conversations. According to Circeus, 70 percent of conversations handled by Dondy’s AI agents today are resolved end to end without human intervention, a figure the company points to as evidence that conversational commerce has moved beyond simple automated replies and into genuine autonomous customer engagement.

Circeus said it plans to evolve Dondy’s AI agents into fully autonomous systems capable of handling customer interactions across additional channels, including email, TikTok, and Telegram, extending the platform’s reach well beyond its current WhatsApp-centric footprint. The company also said it intends to expand Dondy’s marketing capabilities to include automated campaign creation, follow-ups, and proactive customer outreach, building toward a system in which merchants can rely on AI to manage significantly more of their customer engagement without manual input. Beyond product expansion, Circeus said it intends to move Dondy up-market to serve enterprise customers, a shift that would broaden the platform’s addressable base beyond the small and mid-sized merchants that have driven its growth to date.

The acquisition also supports Circeus’s broader geographic ambitions, with the company saying it plans to accelerate Dondy’s expansion into new regions, including Latin America. Following the acquisition, Shop Circle said it supports businesses across more than 150 countries, positioning Dondy within a larger global commerce software portfolio as Circeus continues to build out its strategy of acquiring mission-critical software and evolving it into AI-native systems of action.
