Additional charges from business solution providers or software platforms may also apply<\/p>\n<p>The development is particularly important for Nigerian businesses because WhatsApp has become an important channel for customer service, sales, order updates, payment confirmations and other business communications<\/p>\n<p>Banks, fintechs, airlines, retailers, telecommunications companies and small businesses increasingly use WhatsApp to communicate with customers at scale<\/p>\n<p>Meta has been moving towards a per-message pricing structure since July 2025, when it replaced its previous conversation-based pricing model for business-initiated template messages<\/p>\n<p>However, service messages remained free within the 24-hour customer service window.
